What is the lift-off service?
The lift-off service is a way for us to help you, the author, sell the book you worked so hard on! Using our platforms and marketing kit, you’ll be able to advertise your book and drive sales to the online shop. Once you’ve made the sale, we’ll handle the rest.
What lift-off services do we offer our authors?
There are two different lift-off services at Preflight Books. We have the Preflight Premium Lift-off service and the Preflight Lite Lift-off service. A subscription service? Yes, one that can stop at anytime! The Premium service costs R595 a month and the Lite service costs R199 a month with a sign-up cost of R199.
- You get an author webpage with blog capability. You are in charge of your own content, but it will be checked by Preflight Books.
- Have a listing on the BK Shop with a link directly to your author page.
- SEO optimisation of your product, which ensures that it is easily searchable.
- Your books will be stored on the Preflight Books premises, with at least 10 copies that must be replenished when the stock is at 5 books.
- Preflight Books will fulfil orders on your behalf, handle all the sales admin and delivery of the books.
- You receive a marketing kit, which includes three social media templates, an advanced information sheet, a short link to your author webpage, a mock-up of your book, basic marketing training in the form of a best practices document.
- You get 20% off all post-production services such as photoshoots and marketing workshops.
- We do an introductory blog and social media posts.
- Receive 70% of on all sales made
- You will have a listing on the BK Shop.

- Your books will be stored on the Preflight Books premises, with at least of 10 copies that must be replenished when the stock is at 5 books.
